What is Tooling Studio Time?

Time is a time tracking app for Gmail and Google Workspace. Start a timer, add hours manually, review your week, and export reports. Use it on its own or link entries to Kanban Tasks and Sales CRM.

Can I track time directly in Gmail?

Yes. With the Tooling Studio Chrome extension, open Time from the Gmail sidebar. You can also start a timer from a task. Time is available as a web app too.

Do I need Kanban Tasks or Sales CRM to use Time?

No. You can track general work with a note. If you also use Kanban Tasks or Sales CRM, link entries to the tasks, contacts, organizations, or deals you can access.

Does the timer keep running when I leave the page?

Yes. Start the timer and keep working. It keeps running when you leave the page. Stop it when you finish, or edit the entry later.

Can I add or correct time manually?

Yes. Choose a date, start and end time, or duration. Add a note, link the work, and mark it as billable. You can edit your own entries later.

Can I track billable hours?

Yes. Mark entries as billable and compare billable and non-billable hours in reports. Export the data for client reporting or your billing workflow.

Can I export time reports to PDF or CSV?

Yes. Filter your report by date and work context, then download a PDF or CSV. Summary reports group time; detailed reports show individual entries.

Who can see my team’s time entries?

Team admins control whether members can view each other’s recorded time. Visibility also respects access to linked work. Only the person who recorded an entry can edit it.

How much does Time cost?

Personal use is free. Time for teams costs $5 per user per month or $50 per user per year. Time is a separate product subscription; choose the apps each team member needs.

Is the weekly calendar connected to Google Calendar?

The Time calendar shows your recorded time entries for the week. It helps you review your hours and edit entries. It is not a Google Calendar sync.
