One cycle. Every goal in view.Inside Gmail & Google Workspace
Set your goals
Say what matters. Measure what changes.
OKR means Objectives and Key Results: a goal and the numbers that show success. Choose a cycle, name what you want to improve, and decide how you will know you got there.

01
Choose a cycle
Set the dates for your goals. Start with a quarter, then close it and copy goals into the next one.
02
Write an objective
Give it an owner and decide who can see it. Align it under a parent objective when it supports a bigger goal.
03
Measure key results
Use a number, percentage, currency, or milestone. Progress runs from the starting value to the target.
Start from an example. Use a template for sales, customer success, product adoption, or agency delivery. Or import your goals from a CSV file.
A weekly rhythm
One check-in a week. Everyone sees where things stand.
Open Weekly check-in to see the results you own that are due. Update the value, say how confident you are, and note what is in the way.
On track, at risk, or off track. Blockers and decisions stay visible.

Reminders that fit your week
Pick your reminder day. Get an in-app reminder or an email from 09:00 in your own time zone when a result you own needs a check-in.
One team rhythm
Admins set a team check-in day and can email everyone who owns a key result when their check-in is due.
Close the cycle well
Score each result, note what went well, what didn’t, and what you will change. The lessons stay with the cycle.
Better together
The goal. The work. The progress, measured.
Link tasks, deals, and organizations to a key result. Let completed tasks or won deals measure progress, so the numbers stay current without extra updates.
OKR + Kanban Tasks
See which work moves the goal.
Link existing tasks or create a task from a key result. Measure progress by completed tasks, and see the goal on the task itself.
And with Time. See the hours logged on linked tasks and open the Time report for that goal. Hours give context; they do not change progress.
AI that helps, then gets out of the way
Sharper key results. The right tasks to start.
Turn a vague goal into a measurable result with Improve with AI. Ask for tasks to link with Suggest tasks. Nothing changes until you choose a suggestion.

Everything else about OKR in Tooling Studio.
OKR stands for Objectives and Key Results: a goal and the numbers that show success. For example, the objective “Grow our customer base” with the key result “Increase paying customers from 20 to 30”.
Yes, on your Personal Board. Shared team workspaces need an OKR subscription of $5 per user per month, or $50 per user per year, and each person in a shared workspace needs a paid OKR seat. OKR is its own add-on, so you only pay for the apps each person uses.
No. OKR works on its own. When you also use Kanban Tasks or Sales CRM, you can link tasks, deals, and organizations to a key result, and measure progress from completed tasks or won deals.
Open Weekly check-in to see the results you own that are due. Update the current value, choose a confidence (On track, At risk, or Off track), and add a note, a blocker, a decision you need, your next action, or an evidence link.
Yes. Choose a measurement source for a key result: completed linked tasks, or the number or value of won deals in a CRM pipeline. Manual results are updated at check-in.
No. With Time access you can see the hours logged on linked tasks and open the Time report, but hours do not change progress.
“Improve with AI” suggests a clearer, measurable version of a key result. “Suggest tasks” proposes open tasks to link. Suggestions use Google Gemini and receive only what they need: Improve with AI sends the key result and its objective title, and Suggest tasks sends the titles of up to 50 open tasks on boards you can see. Other goals, comments, CRM records, and task descriptions are not sent. Nothing changes until you choose to use a suggestion.
Members of a shared OKR workspace can use them. On a Personal Board, AI suggestions are available to users who are members of a paid team.
